he full dialogue
Oh, the full dialogue from the blogpost below according to WaPo's Paul Kane (and other reporters in the gallery) who heard the full shouting match between Sen. Robert C. Byrd and Sen. Jim Bunning, shouting from their seats across that aisle at each other:
Bunning: "Regular order!"
Byrd: "Who said that?"
Bunning: "I did."
Byrd: "Who are you?"
Bunning: "I'm a senator."
Byrd: "You're a great baseball man."
Bunning: "I'm a senator; I have the same rights as you."
Byrd: "Yeah, man, you're a senator." [Ends by laughing hysterically at Bunning.]
Glad to see the old KKK member still is acting as crazy as ever. Can you all imagine if any Republican Senator had done this? This is however another case of Republicans letting Democrats get away with crap. Any Republican on Senate Floor should of made a point of order and faced the Dems to stick up for this improper behavior by one member of Senate against another.
You should see the vid of him talking about Ted Kennedy when he (TK) collapsed. I did a column about it at The US Report. At the time of that video, McCain's age was a hot media topic. Byrd is way older than McCain and I'm pretty sure he chairs Senate Appropriations. Anyway, if he were GOP, there'd be a bucket of tar and feathers waiting for him at the door of Congress. The media would have to collectively go on meds simultaneously they'd be so hysterical.
best, KayDay
I am annoyed at the attack but more annoyed at Senate GOP
My understanding of Senate Rules is that if someone speaks that way they can request it be stricken from the record and a vote has to be taken on it or a vote can be taken that the Senator cannot speak for the rest of the day. Granted, they would of lost the vote but you make them defend such behavior
SENATOR to vote against confirming both African American Supreme Court candidates.

McCain for POTUS so the left can't ruin SCOTUS.
